These are the links to the school’s policies. Some of the policies are not in their full form and copies of the complete policy can be obtained directly from OLGC.
The schools policies are, by nature, under constant development and review. The school endeavours to update the policies frequently on this website, however, for any recent additions or alterations please contact the school directly.

The “This is Me” Fashion Show took place in OLGC School on December the 6th 2018. I would like to take this opportunity to applaud the staff for the way in which they embraced this idea and implemented it with positivity and enthusiasm. It is a privilege to be a part of a school with highly capable and committed staff, each individual contributing to shared visions and ideas. Thank-you for your energy, enthusiasm and kindness. The staff recognise and help develop each pupil’s ability, celebrating achievements whether they be great or small. Our school motto is “Together we Learn”, and it is an ideal we strive to live and work by.
As I reflect on my time as Principal since September, I am grateful for the many positive events that have taken place. The Spraoi Track is near completion and should be officially opened in late Spring. The play-ground project is under-way thanks to the kind donation of €3,500 from the Loughmahon Cycle Fund. A bike-shed will be constructed near the Spraoi Track, funded by a very generous donation from a friend of the school. The Junior Cycle Level 1 and 2 programmes are underway, and will be officially launched in the New Year. The new school website is live, and we are delighted with the positive feed-back from parents, staff and friends of OLGC. Regular posts and updates on Face-Book allow for ease of communication between home and school, the photos and videos provide endless opportunities for language development and positive connections. I would encourage you to browse through the photo gallery on our web-site this Christmas, to see pictures of our amazing, wonderful, talented pupils captured on film.
The challenges we have met along the way encourage us to foster and embrace new ideas, while offering our pupils the best education possible, in a safe, caring inclusive environment. I am hopeful that 2019 will see more exciting events and positive changes in OLGC School.
We remember our dear friend Helen as we sit on her bench, taking a moment to reflect, to chat or just be!
Finally, I am honoured, on behalf of the staff of OLGC School, to wish you all a very happy Christmas and holiday Season.
